WHAT IS THE SCOUTING DIRECTORY?

The Scouting Directory is one of the world’s largest online platforms, where Scouts can advertise themselves and apply for advertised jobs from other industry professionals. Managers, Players, Clubs and Agents can also find a specific Scout, in a specific location, anywhere in the world.

HOW DO I CONTACT THE SCOUTING DIRECTORY

You can also find our contact information on our Contact page.

HOW DO I SEARCH FOR A SCOUT?

There are various ways to search for a Scout on the Scouting Directory. You can search by Federation or by location from the Find a Scout page. You can also search using our integrated map to find the nearest Scout to your location. Click on the Scout card to view their profile.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY SCOUTING PROFILE?

Scout profiles can be updated from your Scout dashboard. To access your dashboard, please log in by clicking on the ‘Profile’ icon in the main menu or clicking here. You will be redirected to your dashboard once logged in.

From here you can make changes to your personal details; including your name, surname, email and profile image, your social details; including your social media links, your Scout business info; including your business name, your profile description and contact information. You can also add imagery, promotional videos, your area covered map and working hours. There are other additional profile updates, including previous work, DBS information, FAN number, age and level of players taught, experience, and qualifications.

I AM LOOKING FOR A SCOUT IN MY AREA BUT MY LOCATION IS NOT LISTED?

Can’t find your location on the Find a Scout page? That is because there are currently no active Scouts registered in that specific area, however, many of the Scouts listed on The Scouting Directory will travel to specific locations. Please contact the nearest Scouts and enquire.

WHAT IS DBS?

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaced the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).



Posting a Scouting Job

ARE YOUR SCOUTS LEGITIMATE?

100%. No Scouts will be registered on The Scouting Directory until we have verified their two references from within the footballing world, thus ensuring the integrity of the site.

CAN I CONTACT PREFERRED SCOUTS DIRECTLY?

Yes. All Scouts will have contact details on their profiles so you can contact them directly, thus saving you both time and money.

CAN SEMI-PRO AND NON LEAGUE JOBS BE ADVERTISED?

Absolutely. The Scouting Directory is a global, all-inclusive platform for every level of the footballing pyramid.

HOW MANY JOBS CAN I ADVERTISE?

You can advertise as many jobs as you require once you are registered with The Scouting Directory.

WHAT CAN I ADVERTISE ON THE SCOUTING DIRECTORY?

You can advertise any job opportunities or Scouting requirements you need completing, safe in the knowledge that only verified Scouts are live on The Scouting Directory.

WHO CAN POST A JOB?

Anyone looking to hire a professional Scout can post a job. This may include Managers, Heads of Recruitment, Coaches, Players, Clubs, Agents and Media.

The Scouting Directory is one of the world’s largest online platforms where Scouts can advertise themselves through our bespoke profile template, which allows you to see examples of their previous work, location and background, ensuring you find the Scout that best fits the requirements of your job.



Registering as a Scout

CAN I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?

Yes, anytime you wish. You will not be charged a cancellation fee.

HOW DO I PAY?

Payment options currently include Strip and Bank Transfer. Paypal will be added at a later date.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Joining the Scouting Directory couldn’t be easier. Simply click on the “Register” link, click ‘Register as a Scout’ and complete the registration form. Once you have input your details and had your references verified, your profile will be live on The Scouting Directory.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BE VERIFIED?

Once your profile is completed, we aim to have your profile verified and uploaded within five days, providing all of the information you have supplied is correct.

HOW MUCH IS THE SUBSCRIPTION?

It is £120 per annum (134 Euros). For fees for countries outside Europe, please get in touch for rates specific to your country.

However, we are currently offering free membership to all scouts to popuilate the site.

Please note: the trial package is not currently available whilst the Premium Subscription is being offered for free.

MY ACCOUNT NEEDS UPDATING AFTER IT HAS BEEN UPLOADED, DOES THIS COST EXTRA?

No, all updates to your account will be free of charge. Simply fill in your new details on your Profile page in your dashboard area.

WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE SHOWN ONLINE?

All of the information that you input into the registration form (bar private information such as passwords and payment details, as well as your references) will be visible to all who visit your profile.

WHY DO I NEED TO DECLARE A CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK?

A Full DBS check (or your countries equivalent) is vital to ensure you are allowed to work with children and vulnerable adults. It is not necessarily required to be a Scout, but without one your working opportunities may be limited.

WHY DO I NEED TO PROVIDE REFERENCES?

To ensure the integrity of the site, we will be asking for two references from within the footballing world, who will confirm you’ve worked in the Scouting industry, therefore ensuring only genuine Scouts get onto the platform.

WHY SHOULD I REGISTER?

The Scouting Directory allows Scouts from all over the world to be found quickly and easily and can increase your chances of sharing information and building a strong network around the globe. It can also increase the chances of work by advertising a Scout’s skillset.
